Running order
Enter runtime, cuts, and effects to score.
How to score ▸
Count each as 1 event:
- A hard cut or scene change
- A camera angle change, even in the same scene
- A fast zoom, punch-in, or screen shake
- A pop-on graphic, sticker, or animated text appearing
- A sound-effect sting (whoosh, pop, ding, sparkle)
- A transition (wipe, spin, slide)
Do NOT count:
- The steady background music bed
- Natural speech or singing
- A slow, continuous push or pan longer than 3 seconds
- A static lower-third, badge, or evidence note just sitting on screen
- Nurse Doaa's normal gestures and movement
Rule of thumb: if it grabs and resets a child's attention in an instant, it is one event.
Log it in CapCut (about 5 min):
- Note total runtime in whole minutes, round up.
- Cuts = clip splits on the main track plus angle changes.
- Effects = sticker, effect, transition, and SFX clips that start.
- Type Runtime, Total cuts, Total effects above. Badge and pace fill in.
The math:
- Score = (cuts + effects) divided by minutes
- Pace = 60 divided by cuts-per-minute, in seconds
- Calm 6 or under, Balanced 6.1 to 12, Active over 12. Target: Calm, Pace 7s or longer.
If the score is too high:
- Hold shots 7 seconds or longer before cutting
- One SFX per beat, not per word
- Let pauses breathe
- Never stack a zoom plus an SFX plus a pop-on graphic on one moment
Where the number goes: thumbnail tag, description first line, intro card, pinned comment.
